I read this to see what Stephen had to say on the subject having seen him speak well at some large church events and campus organizations. This book covers all the basics and will be especially helpful for the many people who fear public speaking. It is scary and can be really anxiety inducing. I used to do extreme sports in high school but had to give up BMX after multiple concussions with amnesia. But once I started public speaking I found it gave me the same thrill! A book like this will help you to prepare and provide you the checklists you need to confirm that you have done everything you could to prepare.

★★★★★

I just got the Kindle version of "You Can Speak Well," and I could not have enjoyed it more!

The book is divided into three parts, each with several chapters, making it easy to navigate. It's the most realistic guide to tackling speech anxiety, as it's highly applicable. As someone who once had a significant fear of public speaking, I appreciated how this book doesn't present the obstacle as insurmountable, but rather as something that can be approached with ease, making the process welcoming.
